Thanks to its medium size, the ship can dock in smaller ports of call, which some of the bigger ships can't. But the price of $75 price per day, including an ocean view cabin, drink package, basic wi-fi, and gratuities, was too great to pass up. Royal suites offer living, dining and sleeping areas, and are some of the best-decorated and most stylish options on the ship. Royal suites measure in at 590 square feet of interior space, with 153 square feet of outdoor space.

One of the things about the Celebrity Equinox that struck us most was the fact that the buffet was on a separate deck from the main pool area. Most other Celebrity ships, and in particular the newer Edge vessels, offer easier access to the buffet, and this layout on Equinox felt rather inconvenient. Every effort is taken to deliver easy ship access and an unrivaled cruise vacation for our guests. This was a smaller ship than I had previously sailed, mostly the Oasis class ships of Royal Caribbean, that top out at 6,000 people.

However, while families do sail on Equinox during school breaks, and there are kids' clubs, children are not the focus on this ship. I loved the boat tours I took in St. Kitts that visited Nevis, which just happens to be the home of Alexander Hamilton. We visited his former stone house, which is in pretty good shape. Other highlights included a coastal tour in St. Lucia to see the impressive Pitons and an informative (and tasty) rum tour in Antigua. The thrill of a fantastic cruise deal is a feeling we all love.
